Thanks for letting me know about the milk. I was told that the sugar in flat sodas was supposed to be good for the compost pile.

I have a very new compost pile. Today I added some pumpkin skins, greens stems, flat soda, old milk, and some pine shavings that got wet. I didn't water it though because its supposed to rain all day tomorrow.

lesa, I'm getting them mid-march so I will be sure to post pictures/updates. She wants to move them right as things are getting ready to bloom and I'm getting ready to start my garden.

Well an army of pollinators!! I called my sister's neighbor today to ask her about the pros/cons of setting up my own bee hive. I want to make sure my garden gets pollinated and I really like bees. She said it can be very expensive and that she will just bring over a hive and bees for me to use...

I'm afraid I know the answer to this already but here is hoping.... Is there a yummy way to keep yellow/summer squash throughout the year? I'm craving some now and won't be able to have it for another few months. The stuff at the grocery store is ok but nothing like what comes out of the garden.
