Also, has anybody ever planted gala apple seeds? I know they wont be gala apples, but does anybody know what kind of apple it may produce? Should I post a seperate thread?

When I started them (months ago) I knew that if I got them to sprout, they wouldnt produce for very long. These rose bush clippings, if I can get them to grow, are for my grandma. I want to give them to her as an early Christmas present.

Well, they all died. But, I'm trying again with something a little different. I clipped 5 stems off of my rose bushes. Three from a pretty one and 2 from a not so pretty one. I also planted 3 Apple seeds from a store bought gala apple (for fun). I am trying multiple methods for the clippings...

Thats what I usually do. I just didn't think anything would want to sprout with the temperatures (plus I dont have the time to constantly water) and I wanted to try something new.

Do you recommend a certain brand? We just got some cheap seed starter soil. All of my okra died. I'm not starting any more seeds. I'll just wait until next spring.
