You can put the flower bulblet in soups or stews along with the stem and even the leaves. I'd take it out before eating, though. The entire plant is edible. We sell scapes at farmers' market.

Well, I'm doing a scientific experiment. After several days in my quart jar with the lid tilted to allow some air, the beastie built a web of sorts and wrapped himself in it. We'll see what pops out!

Well, I trapped it in a jar with some grass stems until someone tells me it will eat other bugs, in which case I will let it go at the edge of the woods - or, if it indeed very poisonous, I will stomp it's yellow gooey guts out (with shoes on, of course - preferably my work boots!)

We're just now starting to get squash - some zukes are ready to pick. My tomatoes are coming on, but no color yet. I was able to pick a green bell pepper to take to the market today (yes, only 1) but I'll have more next week. We took onions, new potatoes, some small carrots, cabbages, beets...
