Is there a problem with starting watermelons and cantaloupes in the greenhouse and then after the last frost transplanting them in the garden? The reason I ask this is I've heard they don't like the roots to be disturbed. If this is the case, what's the best method of going about starting them...
There seems to be quite a bit of bumping on this thread and not from the newbie.:lol: Anyways it's not spider mites that are on my petunias, anyway not based on their description. Some leaves also have brown patches on them. That's what has me concerned the most.
'Very close' is an understatement. I just started growing from seed this year and had my lights about four feet above the trays. yikes. Seedlings grew about three inches tall before they started putting out leaves.
