    About Raspberries

    Mine are June bearing. On mine, the old canes are similar to Collector's, and it still shows the stem where the fruit used to be. I usually prune them late fall/early winter, after the leaves have fallen.

    Usually we get hail in spring and fall, sometimes during winter. It's very unusual in the summer, at least where I'm at in Colorado. Most of the stems and branches look healthy. So here's hoping. :fl

    I planted an inch of snow yesterday. :) Before that, I planted some onions, carrots, radishes, and peas.

    Like Smart Red, I only harvest mine when they're about pencil thick. I add composted manure every spring, and harvest until about June, leaving it alone until the ferns die off in late fall.     What type of tree?

    I have this tree that has been growing on the north side of my house since before I bought the house. Anyone know what type it is? The flowers have a strong fragrance. **Sorry, the forum wouldn't let me post it as an image.
