The new series The Goose Pointe Garden Society has its light and dark sides. I like the opening show , but second show the second ok… but it kind of gets slow moving a bit boring in places. I’m hoping the story line will improve. The narration along the way thruout the story which is associated with plant activity compared to the characters in the show is hilarious. I see quite few relatable characters in my experience with local garden societies.

Here’s a narration excerpt throughout one of the episodes. Referencing the new characters introduced in the story line.😉
Every garden has unwanted visitors. Slugs slither on the leaves.
Spider mites are the worst no matter how much u try to get rid of them , they linger on.
Aphids are like the plague by the time you detect them they are out of control.
The most dreaded intruders always seem to do the most damage and they come out at night .
Every gardener agrees the presence of a pest means we’re doing something wrong. Just can’t agree on what to do.. Sometimes infestation takes over and when that happens , everyone agrees it’s best to burn it down.

No kidding?! All I could find online were streaming outlets, yet here it was on an old school TV network! I set it to record the series. All the schedule shows right now is episode 4, but I'm assuming they will air the last episode of this season, as well as re-running earlier episodes.

There is so little content on DirecTV these days that I'm counting the days until I can unsubscribe, so this is an unexpected surprise. Thanks for the heads up. :)

I have DISH and my DVR enables me to download a program that has already aired (recently), "ON DEMAND", and the download lasts for one month.
DH and I forgot about taping this, so we downloaded episodes#1 and #2. Can you do that?

I probably could, but I'd have to connect my TV to the internet, and I've resisted doing that for security reasons. I'm pretty confident they will re-run the series, and If not, it should become available on DVD.

There is a great music series, "Now Hear This!"
and I would LOVE to be able to purchase some of their episodes, like "Beethoven's Ghost", entertaining program where the host and a pianist, and a cellist go to a remote location to make a recording of this, Beethoven's
Ghost Trio,"
and supposedly Sigmund Freud and Beethoven show up unbeknownst to the musicians and Freud psychoanalyzes Ludwig in the background.
For musician geeks this and the other episodes in the series discuss such things as several measures of repeat notes sforzando and how to "attack" this musically.
They also re record one section of the trio, claiming that their interpretation in the performance was too perfect, too mechanical.
Stuff like that...nerdy.
ANYWAY, either you catch a broadcast and tape it OR you sign up for a PAID service to watch any programs on demand.
DD's have often bemoaned that stage performances don't record and sell their products. It would certainly raise the audiences that pay to see them, and you could pay royalties.
Very few musicals today attract much attention.
One that has is "Six," about the 6 wives of Henry VIII.

I loved the series, "The Neighbors."
It had 2 seasons and I bought both of them.
