because our toaster is a wanker.
Really Mr buggles . You are starting to pick up my French language 🤣

I just have mine lightly toasted 😋 It's better on the teeth 😁
I had coco this morning after reading you'd had some. But put chia and flaxseed in mine with honey 🍯
started on 6 which barely got the toast brown so i gave it another 3 which was too much. this is the 2nd time in 6 months i've made toast...

Well Ducks, our laptop is pretty much stationary. Sits plugged on the desk in our dining room. Doesn't travel with us cause it's too heavy and something else to carry. It's been about 10 months or so since we've had it and still don't love it haha. We did look into getting another desktop but they were pricey. Oh my third world problems. I guess I shouldn't complain. I am blessed.

Look into a 2nd laptop around Christmastime, when Everything electric is on sale.
MY laptop has a 17.3 inch screen, AND, DD knows how to hook up a laptop to a tv or large monitor bc we sometimes download stuff To my laptop that we want to watch on a big screen.
I have been a STAPLES customer for over 20 years now, and about 20 years ago I bought a printer from them, and the design was a lemon. It stopped working, I brought it back with the receipt, and they retrieved another model for me. No arguments.
Staples has been doing rewards f.o.r.e.v.e.r.
Around 2015, I took a rewards card in with me, (that was how they did things then, snail mail what looked like a credit card, no # amount printed on it,) and I bought some supplies ~$20 worth. The clerk told me, "you have $115.00 left on this card. Whatdoya wanna buy with it?"
I noted that office chairs were 1/2 price, and I walked out of there with a brand new office chair (assembly required, no big deal,) for a total of $4.00, after I emptied the rewards card.
I bought the only 1/2 bags that fits my laptop, but I have flown with it on vacations before, taken it to DH's office, other places.

for a bigger display can you plug the laptop into a different monitor?

i build my own desktops and it's not too difficult, but just have to make sure that all the parts are compatible. best reason is that i can reuse my case which is from a Dell that i bought in '98. my speakers that i bought at that same time also still work.

i recently bought additional storage for this setup so i can do some picture reorganization and backups so that made my price in this one double but alltogether it is still priced way less than the IBM-PC i bought back in the '80s.

National Weather Service
"... places west of the Continental Divide will remain much warmer than normal as a large ridge of upper level high pressure stays parked over the Intermountain West. The hottest temperatures will be focused across the Pacific Northwest where a multi-day heat wave is just getting started. Extreme Heat Warnings and Heat Advisories are in effect for portions of the Columbia Basin into northwestern Montana into Wednesday, with high temperatures potentially exceeding 100 degrees from northern Oregon to eastern Washington. High temperatures of this magnitude are likely to challenge records."
