What was supposed to be just an hour or so in the garden yesterday morning morphed into a four hour work session. :rolleyes: The sunscreen I put on about halfway through didn't do much, so I'm pretty crispy. I did discover that acv really does take the sting out of it, but man, I'm STILL wiped...

I just finished a flower bed and it is overrun with pillbugs (aka roly polies). Will they damage my plants? Its a north facing bed outside of a basement walkout, so it's going to be damp no matter what.

The moles are horrible around here. They made a mess this spring but now that it's been crazy dry, there's not one to be found.

@so lucky - you guys need to stop hogging all the rain. :D We went from super wet early spring to really really dry. We haven't gotten a useful rain in a few weeks.

What zone are you in? I've never seen anything like that in my neck of the woods.

Pretty!! I love the bicolored petunias that are out now. I have some red and white ones in a pot out front.

I think most are hardy to zone 7. I bought one with the plan to dig it up in the fall & bring it inside. I used bay all the time in my cooking, so I'm excited to grow it myself!

I've never really had an issue with transplant shock when moving from one container to another, just on occasion when I've planted them in the ground. It might not be something to worry about.

Since the weather's turned nice, DH and I have grilled out almost every night. This is a recipe that I make every year once the cukes start coming in, and I get RAVE reviews...

Can you get a closer shot of the leaves? I had an issue earlier where there was problems on the new growth of my tomatoes, but it turned out to be too much fertilizer. That was when they were still in pots under lights, tho.

Ditto on encouraging the frogs! They are a great addition to a garden!

We've got a bunch of cornish crosses and have had 2 die in the past 2 weeks. They get lethargic, but never completely quit eating/drinking, have a hard time breathing, and twitch their heads a lot. I was reading about infections laryngeotracheitis, but it seems like that would have taken out...
