it's too bad you weren't closer, we have several dozen pint jars we're not too likely to touch and they're too nice to get rid of (i do use some for strawberry jam but not that many) and you could have them for nothing. if you find yourself heading through mid-Michigan give me a holler... :)...
i got out and worked on pulling back the gravel from along the edge where the quack grass is at that needs to be taken out, but i know that the roots are going out underneath the pathway and along the edge further and that means getting enough gravel off that i can get those roots mostly removed...
on the way out of the fenced gardens there were a few green bunching type onions (Tokyo very mild) growing in the pathway that looked nice enough to eat so i brought them in and made them for brunch with a few slices of ham, some cheese and a few drops of mushroom flavored soy sauce. umami...
yes, those would help for certain people who don't moderate their pulling on the hose and if it is prone to kinking right at the faucet. a lot of the hoses i've bought recently have had similar reinforcement on the hose itself.
I have three hoses connected at the house in the back via two Y's, but they drip so i need to get a splitter or new Y's that don't drip (it doesn't bother me to have a small drip, but Mom doesn't like it at all)...

we did buy a few new hoses this spring so i need to hook them up...

his will was also interesting... his marriage and home. so little factual documentation remains.
for some months i was doing a lot of reading about him and anything i could...
i have some tulips from that region. very pretty in a refined manner. :)
they are not out yet, but should be soon:
a lot of tulips are about to bloom here. they are survivors.
close to where i was hatched. i have a lot of relatives over that ways. i love the hills. we have flatlands here in the Saginaw River Valley. places get names like Hilltop if they only go up a few feet...
oh, ok, now i see say you are more western MI, that is not close by to me for casual or frequent trips. however you can check out the bean threads here (there are several search for LEBN (Little Easy Bean Network) and @Blue-Jay :) ) and he has a growers network for his collection along with...
