i forgot to mention that we also found a stray sock in our load of laundry that we dried. it looked enough like one of mine that i was going to bring it home just in case, but was overruled and we left it on the table...
i'm starting to get my gardening mojo going for this season. :) now that i'm getting some of my other projects off my list of things to do and clearing up some space in my room for the next round and such.
making initial plans and rough ideas of how many seeds i'll have available and what...
i went out and took a few pictures of the water situation along the south edge and small drainage channel. overall things look pretty good.
of course once outside i found some things that the wind moved that needed to be put back, but then after a bit i noticed that some things had likely been...
i've always been curious about water and water systems including septic treatment plants, dams, irrigation, etc... from quite young i was always out playing in puddles and getting them to drain. i got yelled at for digging trenches to drain puddles on the dirt road which was one lot to the...
sink repair went ok, but almost was not great, right when i'd paid the guy and he left i went to check under the sink and make sure it was all dried out and there was more water there than i thought should be there and so i was able to go outside and catch the pumber before he drove away to come...
i am mechanically inclined but i do not have some of the special tools and knowing how or where to get parts which come from doing something for a living vs. just doing things once in a while.
like i can take many things apart and get them back together again and working, i know how to do...
a lot of rain here and some thunderstorms but nothing too crazy with tornadoes or warnings of them. every corner of our gardens up front here has puddles (because i made room to catch rains when they happen). Mom said all the fields and ditches had plenty of water and i believe her.
it's just a way of using up chunks of wood without having to chip them or burn them. i consider it an ok technique, but there are some common sense things about using the method based upon your overall climate. and of course most people are using very small ones and that doesn't work that...
a cardinal is already out there chirping away. it's not really that light yet, but i guess it wants to find a partner ASAP! before the storm/rains... warmer day than yesterday will be nice, but wind and rains and storms will put a damper on things...
looks like plenty of rain heading our way this morning and into the day after.
the forecast yesterday was calling for more snow which isn't now looking too likely. windy and warmer and plenty of rain and by the looks of it stormy enough that i'll be off-line sorting more beans today.
plumper...
the last dead tree in the north hedge finally fell over. not sure which storm did it but the other day i was sitting on the couch looking out the patio door windows and it was gone. it'd been there many years as a perch for the birdies. i never wanted to bring it down as it was also food for...
packed up a few Purple Dove bean seeds to send off to family in NM and also sent some fairly random selections to see if any of them get grown.
possible snow, rain, mix tonight and tomorrow morning.
plumper comes tomorrow maybe.
have not heard anything about washing machine repair or parts...
