    My Broccoli is sprouting!

    I went down to my "nursery" room last night and 2 pots of Romanesco Broccoli are sprouted!!! The tomatoes should be up in another 3-5 days :)

    I've grown herbs in un-drained pots before, with marbles in the bottom, and they did great. Esp the cilantro and chives.

    I have some old barnwood from my Gpa in Wyoming, its been dry aging in his yard for years, not rotten at all. I'm going to do those mason jar wall planter things with a few planks and try to have a large indoor herb garden year round.

    I've got a friend in Chehalis WA who's hubby built her a greenhouse using AMAZING blue glass windows (does that make it a bluehouse?) they were gifted in large quantity. She's been using it for sure to get things grown.

    Ohhhh I like that idea, I'll put it on the fridge tonight! It'll have beeter exposure to the southern windows that way anyways. And I might lay a piece of saran wrap over the rim of the pot for a little while to "greenhouse" it.

    Interesting. I grow my tomatoes from seed, but I can't get peppers to get more than 2 inches tall before they die. I've always had to get started plants for peppers.
