    Growing onions

I would think so, they are so closely related. But my purpose is to keep the leaves from falling over. To make them sturdier.

    Pineapple grown in the greenhouse

I use orchid fertilizer on them. Why? I don't know-it just seemed fitting.

    Pineapple grown in the greenhouse

You probably threw it out just as it was about to fruit. I don't keep track because it takes so long. 2 years maybe to the flower. The flower takes 8-10 months to ripen. Not for the impatient.

    Ducks 4 in '24

After going through all set of troubles like that we put in a shallow well and hydrants. That was the best thing we ever did. But in-between I used those light weight hoses in which 100 feet weighed about 2 pounds when empty. The barn stall for my horse was about 100 feet out and the field was...

    Seventy-four years ago, Today

I have the same thought on these books. And I remember seeing the movie 2001....when that was far into the future.

Picture Of The Week (POW) Information & Submissions

WE have had a bit on snow the last few days. You real northerners would laugh at our snow and chuckle at us freezing when it it almost 30 degrees. But when the sky is dreary I try to put some organization into my photos. What a sight to behold from last July or so.

    Pineapple grown in the greenhouse

I brought it for dinner at my son's home. We all shared in the sweet aromatic taste. The 4 month old baby seems to react to the smell, and my 3 year old grandson could not get enough. He has watched it grow from a flower and kept wanting to eat it. It must be perfect to eat. And it was.

    Pineapple grown in the greenhouse

Fresh home grown pineapple is a crop for the very patient. My greenhouse was filled with the sweet aroma of pineapple. I harvested the pineapple and will share it with family for dinner.

Some of my new daylilies for you to see

PW are sold everywhere. So eventually they turned the red that you wanted? Something it the soil change for the better. I need to use lime in my gardens for maintaining a good ph. But that is not for all parts of the US. If you want fantastic daylilies, in fact fantastic plants of all kinds...

Some of my new daylilies for you to see

If you never saw the color on the tag, the plant was misslabeled. So the white is what you got? If so, labeled wrong. PW are a big company and wrong tags could happen easily. I am certain they have many growers. One of my own cultivars started out as a brilliant yellow orange. When I changed...

Some of my new daylilies for you to see

Waiting for Sunrise. In visiting my sleeping gardens this morning I found a huge daylily clump pulled up by the deer. It looks fine but instead of replanting in partially frozen ground, I potted it and put it in my greenhouse. So I will see this one blooming indoors early this season. A little...

Some of my new daylilies for you to see

Another dreary day's weather. Looking over my blooms from last summer. I just have to show you, This Girl is On Fire. A gorgeous clump that bloomed on and on. This is one of my most popular hybrids. And I still love it.

A chicken photo to brighten your day.

Maybe only a backyard chicken farmer can appreciate this. But I think this is quite hilarious.
