:welcome
Welcome Alanna!
Just had to mention that I went to school down in Greenville, and spent a lot of time w/ some family in Greer. I can't imagine gardening in that red clay....or the summer heat.....:th
Hope you have better luck with the soybeans. Like others said they will probably...
:yuckyuck
I enjoyed the walk lesa...lets do it again sometime.
What are the yellow thingys popping up behind your blue gazing ball? are those foxtail lilies?
My tomatoes haven't ripened yet either....shouldn't be too much longer though! Once they all start coming on I don't know what I'll do with them all......:ep
The plants themselves are doing absolutely fantastic this year in the garden (the 1 grape tomato on the deck is not as vigorous yet)...
yeah...like you wifezilla, I'm thinking it's a type of cinquefoil. We have weeds similar to that around here...don't really know a whole lot about them or the different species though...:hu
I don't think it's the Indian (or Mock) strawberry...those grow down south and they're low-growing....
obsessed, you're not the only one w/ stunted peppers this year! :/ I think mine are prolly underwatered since I can't drive over to my garden every day..........but the tomatoes and squash on either side are looking AMAZING and growing like weeds! :P
This link says they fruit best in full sun but variegation is best in part shade....interesting......
They are definitely quick growers! I remember having to untangle them from each other in our retail display area...
Looks like you've got a Variegated Porcelain Vine, journey!
We used to carry them at a greenhouse where I worked. They grow fast! Don't really know anything about propagation tho....
I think that's kinda interesting that you didn't have good luck w/ your seed packets ducks. Were they all from the same place? How did you store them (if you didn't plant right away)? What kinds of seeds...all veggies? flowers? How did you start the seeds? indoors/outdoors?
I haven't gotten...
Wow, we're around the same size Steve. After this winter I was up to 200+ :/ but.... thanks to some freak flu bug over the past few weeks I'm back down in the 190's....I need to get down around 185 or so too!
Like others have said I have to watch my portions. I generally eat healthy food...
First, :welcome
Second, please be careful what you cook with niula!!! That vine looks like Boston Ivy (Parthenocissus tricuspidata)....and you said it was growing on the building, which Boston Ivy can do without a problem. Boston Ivy leaves are toxic! They contain oxalates that are bad for your...
Good ideas journey! That would be nice to have a big bamboo thicket available (unless it was invading your yard! :ep ) but the tall bamboo doesn't really grow wild much around here. I'll probably go out in the woods and scrounge for what I can....then maybe this fall I can cut and prepare some...
:/ Sorry obsessed...those bites are awful! and those little things swarm fast!
I went to college in SC and they sure had them down there. Not fun...
Up here in MI this season we have a healthy mosquito crop due to lots of rain....no fire ants tho.....guess that's one reason to be thankful for...
MI's state flower is the apple blossom....so unique! :P
and I see we have a state wildflower? The Dwarf Lake Iris.....hmm.....never knew that before.
Steve - I never knew Mock-Orange was known as Syringa either.....Syringa is the genus name for lilac....? Interesting. Does it grow wild out...
