How do you keep your dog from digging in garden?

We have surrounded our large garden w/chainlink fence to keep our Retriever/Chow mix from digging (& peeing) in our veggie garden. I have a small circle area that I am wanting to make my herb garden & my dog loves to dig in that area since the soil is loose & he can hide his bones. It...

Check with your local County Health Department & see if they offer free lead testing. I work for ours and we do test houses, items, soil, etc all for free. I minored in Enviornmental Science and from what I can (vaguely) remember, lead does stay in the soil for quite awhile. Though, it sounds...

    Buying ladybugs via the internet?

I have dealt w/"those" types of ladybugs as well. When I was in college, they would just be all over our dorm room. There would be so many on our screens that it practically blocked out the sun! And they had that weird "ladybug" smell :P

    Buying ladybugs via the internet?

Hmmm...I have chickens that I just purchased...I don't allow them to free range since I live in a neighborhood, but I was thinking of allowing a few of them to hang-out in my garden area a few hours a night. You don't think they're feces will burn my garden?
