    Basil, Basil Everywhere!!

Dumb question, how do you keep your basil? Dry it? Freeze it? Mine is prolific as well so I need to figure out the best way to store it. Thanks!

    Egg Plants

Huh, that is disappointing, isn't it? I guess the good size is that it's filling and doesn't appear to have calories either.

peach tree lost all its leaves

Thanks for the suggestions. We're in zone 5b/6 depending on what site you read, in a bit of a valley so probably more 6. Yes, I've read the comments about how hard peach trees can be for the home gardener. Unfortunately, a friend gave me bags of peaches off her trees last summer and sold me on...

    Do you support Caterpillars?

Some years ago I planted dill, not knowing swallowtail caterpillars eat it. We were able to watch 3 or 4 caterpillars transform, very cool!!

Hi all, Question that I haven't been able to answer with google. We have two peach trees that a friend gave us 4 or 5 years ago that were started from a pit by him. Blueberry/Raspberry/Blackberry plants..Do they need full sun?

If you do plant blueberries, they prefer an acidic soil. Ours is very alkaline so I added sulfur when I planted and they seem to be doing well. Better than the ones I planted last year without adding sulfur, anyway. :)

They aren't vibrant and fragrant, but delicate and beautiful- columbine. My jacob's ladder has done very well in shade.

    Can you ID this plant?

I don't think it's zucchini since its leaves are rounded.

    Mulberry - pros and cons?

We have mulberries and we've gotten quite a bit of fruit from them the four springs we've lived here. I haven't noticed the pattern of fruit one year, none the next. This year I'm going to try making jam from them. In the past, I've made desserts with them and they've been quite tasty. :)

The Any Wonderful Food You Made From Your Garden Today Thread!

I'll make guesses. This is one of those things that's done to taste. My Italian BFF taught me how to make this and there aren't written measurements. I usually put olive oil in the 9 x 13" pan to start when I roast the onions. 1/4 c. cup per pan (I usually make this in 2 pans)? If there's still...
