Maybe, whatever it is we're very pleased to have him/her around. Buddy is my best grasshopper catcher, which is great 'cause we have tons of grasshoppers this year.
Yes, OG, Buddy is doing great, although he has the loudest "QUACK" I've ever heard on drake. Still no drake feather either. Are you sure he's a he?
Desert, they only pretend to be ducks when there's food involved, they still haven't mastered the waddle yet though.
I just took a video of the ducks (including Buddy, the duck that Old Guy gave me) and put it on YouTube. If anyone wants to see trained ducks (or am I the one who's trained?) go check it out here .
Welcome, Dana. :frow You need to have 10 posts to the forum before you can post pictures. It doesn't take very long to get to the 10 posts and it keeps the spammers from driving us nuts. I'm not sure what you're vine might be, but I'm sure someone here can help you figure it out. Oh, and there's...
I could see the discussion, just not the pictures. It's probably just that technology hates me. Hubby says I have my very own personal electromagnetic pulse that kills anything with a chip in it. Everything from digital cameras to car stereos. :gig
I love top documentary films, one of my favorite websites ever. I can't see your paper though, since I'm not a member of the forum.
ETA- Okay I joined your computer forum (which is all kinds of ironic since technology absolutely hates me) just to read it and I have to say that the similarities...
Oh yes, you and I will get along just fine. Most of me friends see me as a bit of a foil hat wearing doomsday fearmongerer myself. My favorite movie is Prophets of Doom with Michael Rupert.
Anyway, glad I could be of help. Happy gardening.
I was dancing and singing to Queen the other day. "Fat bottomed girls you make the rockin' world go round" Oh, the irony...:P Luckily, hubby likes my bottom just the way it is.
The same reason the ducks follow me to the garden...I might give them something yummy. My chickens actually knock on the front door since I stopped answering the back door where they used to come begging. We'll be sitting there watching a movie and hear a tap-tap-tap, like a timid person...
Well, the tomatoes are very, very crowded. I think once you thin them out the plant you have left will take off. I would put the pot somewhere where it gets full morning sunlight and partial shade in the late afternoon. Also it's good to have the pots raised up a little (like on a couple of...
My friend in Oklahoma sent me a picture of a bug that she's been having problems with on her pumpkins. I don't recognize it so I'm hoping y'all can help. It's not the best picture, I'm trying to get her to send me a close up.
I absolutely agree that having enough fresh, clean water is going to be a real problem soon. I have watched several documentaries on just that topic recently. I'm not sure if you've ever visited this website, but it's got a LOT of great documentaries you might be interested in. One of my...
The one on the left looks very coy. :) It reminds me of the look that my 4-year-old daughter gives to people she's not sure of. You know, the look that little kids give you while "hiding" behind their mama's leg. It's probably just the lack of sleep talking though. Very pretty bunnies.
My cousin works at a nursery and they sell the grafted tomato plants. I, personally, haven't seen them but he says they do really well. He gave one to my grandma and she just loved it.
Welcome strantor. :frow
Here in Texas even plants that say full sun do better with a little bit of afternoon shade, mostly because of the heat. Even tomatoes and other "sun loving" plants.
Cilantro really does best here planted in the early spring (like February), as it bolts really quickly in...
I did read the article and I'd like to point out that the southern half of California has always been mostly desert. It's only irrigation that made it so green. As soon as the water stops flowing everything dies. The incredible fertile Imperial Valley is a desert, they only manage to grow as...
I don't know how well an avocado would do indoors. They are big trees, probably 20 feet tall with a 20 foot span. I would love to have one, bt here in central Tx it wouldn't survive the winters.
