Looks like Google might be right.
A quick check on this "tribe" shows one species known as "Creeping Cactus."
A tropical so impractical in most N American homes but it would be interesting to see how it might do growing horizontally on the ground.

For years, at the commercial greenhouse where I worked, I did repair work on the roof.
My #13 shoes required special, personal attention but I was able to use the 8" gutters for travel between the greenhouses (funny if I still remember the width but maybe so ;)). The "standard" roof ladders...
I almost feel like apologizing to my warm-season plants that are outdoors. The tomatoes have been out over a week. The sweetcorn went out about 6-7 days ago. (Peppers went into the narrow bed in the greenhouse and a few in the hoop house –– they are fine.)

Corn Pops in the bowl — trying to add a little pop to the morning. The huge, sliced California strawberries help. DW was up earlier than I was but is asleep on the couch.

The White-tail are dang near everywhere in N America,
. almost to Alaska in the PNW.
We also have Mulies and Black-tail to keep them company –– Black-tail on the Coast and Mulies throughout the Rockies, north to south.
