I like them raw, with salt. But, you can only eat so many like that...mostly I'll grow them to store for winter feed.

Bay, she was just the sweetest thing to humans, which kind of fools ya. Today they came to take her to her new home and she practically pulled me to the horse trailer and jumped right in there. Never saw a horse or donkey so eager to get into a trailer...I've seen easy to load but this was...

He's really a mover and shaker in the zero population growth movement and has been for a very long time. Though I can applaud Trump's performance as President and like many of the things he's done while in office, make no mistake...he's hand in glove with Bill Gates when it comes to eugenics...

Yep, just minutes after I shared it to FB it was taken down off YT. But, not before it was viewed over a million times in 2 days time. Important information from a scientist who helped isolate the HIV/AIDs virus and develop the treatments for it....and how we have all been deceived by this...

Not sure, lambs were running everywhere, mamas were running everywhere, the donkey was trying to kill them all, it seemed. Funny thing, she's the sweetest thing ever around humans~can do anything with her~ but she hates sheep with a passion.

Sold the donkey to a nice couple today who have other donkeys she can pal with. Put her up on CL after another try to kill the sheep incident and within minutes we were contacted by this couple and they want her. Picking her up on Thursday. :weee Lesson learned, nobody hurt. I call that...

That would be $650 saved if I put the all the bales at current lowest prices in these parts.

Grass hay. I did get some orchard/alfalfa earlier in the year for $3 per sq. bale, which usually goes for $7-8 around here. Barn kept and beautiful. Feeding that out right now to nursing and still pregnant ewes. This hay I got today is from Ohio, where the mineral content of the soils...

    Craigslist and Other Bargains

Regular price for their hay is at this time of the year~not freshly made hay, mind you, but hay that they would be selling to clear out barns for the new stuff~is 25-30 a bale. In the fall that will be much higher for this year's hay. This was offered that low due to a roof leak in the barn...

Is that fiddleneck ferns? Supposed to be a natural dewormer for sheep. If they are poisonous, my sheep have already had their fill...they grow all around this place.

    Grandparent bragging

Mine all have them....Aliza, Ariella, Alayna and now Archer. Not sure why, exactly. We've been thinking it's kind of clunky and hard to say and they won't let us give him nicknames. We'll see what time brings. All I can think about when I hear his name is of a freckled face teenager with...

    Grandparent bragging

All these children are just adorable!!!! Bay, that girl has some major personality going on there. :gig Got a new grandson yesterday and got to hold him and feed him today. He's a good looking, sweet little boy and going to be big....slugging down the feed like he's going to market. Must...

For local prices, I paid about $150 too much, at $400 plus shipping of $40. But as far as meat costs go, it's not a bad price, especially since I'd be butchering here. And she's nice and fluffy, nice rounded haunches and such. Not overly fat, but in great condition. Most donkeys going...

RR, I ordered a better shock collar than I currently have....it's a sports dog collar with a 500 yd reach and 12 levels of intensity. Supposed to be the baddest setup out there. Folks said to put the collar on a week before you intend to use it so they don't get collar wise, which suits me...
