Gosh, I'm sorry that it's such a P.I.N.A.!!
The diesel fuel has never been a problem for us. We have 2 old WWII/Korean War issue Jerry Cans, and we have two fuel pumps that use batteries, one for the tractor and for unleaded (all mowers/tiller).
What kind of repairs have you had to make?
Tractor and God mower are now in the shop, to be back on June 6th in great shape.
Yesterday I weeded the two front sidewalk edge beds. I was very happy to discover the that weeds And the huge rhubarb hadn't killed of my mini pink rose!
I pulled 5 rhubarb stalks and leaves and mulched them...
:welcome from Central IL! Please put your general location, Indiana, and zone, bc I will forget where you live once your start posting.
@flowerbug is right.
I ran Spybot on my laptop. Must have been some virus blocking, so now I can download again from my phone.
Here are more rose photos, Enjoy and tell me what bug is on my bud!
I am having a terrible time trying to get my photos from my phone!!! :rant:somad:somad:somad
Usually I email them to myself and then copy/edit/save as after running it through Irfanview, but this issue is downright irritating!!
Here's hoping DD's can help me fix this!
Anyway, here is my Mr...
We had 2 local tornadoes pretty close to us this week.
I WISH the ... looking for the "right words", "Silly people" who have taken over our town's board,
would REALIZE that one tornado would wipe out the entire town. There is literally NOTHING to stop one coming due west through farmer's fields...
I am Nursing my tomato seedlings. I got them TOO wet, and the light wasn't strong enough I moved them and I think I have solved the problem. There will be a little bit of "jerry rigging" before my trip, but I am satisfied that by the first week in June I should be able to put out a few of them...
I cleaned up and hauled away the piles of weeding from the south side of the house, and dumped all in my bonfire spot in the north pasture.
I also took my lopper to the overgrown blackberry stalks and :woot:woot:wootI discovered that all THREE of my roses there survived this mess from 2024...
I have experimented with a theory that is, so far working, for burdock and other deep rooted weeds on my property.
I take my shovel/spade, dig down close to the root, use it as a fulcrum to snap the weed above ground.
Then, with a nice hole right above the rest of the taproot, I put the top of...
I have been putting down blue tarps and used plastic tablecloths that I have saved over the stones in the area between the house and sidewalk, south side of the house and 1/2 of the east side. I have been doing minimal weeding and I won't have time/energy to handle the weeds before and after my...
Downright hot and humid and THEN, cool here.
DH insists on a fan blowing cold air in at night. 🥶
I am sleeping under my electric blanket, just to survive!!
Still, DD's are coming for dinner and I will need their help to take off the living room storm window for the season.
Looks...
About to weed and cover the stones around the house, again today.
MORE pictures later, BUT, here are 2 beautiful ceramic pots that DD's church was offering free for Mother's Day.
I have window shopped pots this year, and these two would probably have cost me around $75.00 ...
ALL of the baking was a great success!
Middle DD joined the party. She fried up the cornbread in bacon grease.
Family said it was "to die for."
Gonna have to have my God Mower (Kubota gas riding mower) serviced. Eldest DD gave up trying to put the mowing belt back on, and I probably need to do...
I have an old strainer that, like YOU said, nobody else wanted. I think I have the wooden pestle somewhere. I wish I had the stand, too, but I have used it to strain out seeds.
I have canned my Concord grapes for YEARS, and good thing, bc I have lost most of my grapes. I bought a few more...
