sweet.... doing good then hopefully they make it all the way should i cover them when it gets could out??? how long before they will be ready to be picked?
I planted turnip greens the other day is this what they look like when they sprout? this is my first year growing them i am doing a fall garden. never even had them before but my neighbor loves them. so if i don't like them i will give them to him.
well i found a nest of them there most of been 10 babies.... took care of them and now i just have to find the rest put out some rat poison and some traps with peanut butter hopeful this works!!!
got a cat she use to get the mice but now she is as big as a house and now she barley can get off the porch step! guess i will try the pvc pipe thing sounds good.
yesterday i was in the garden looking at all my bell peppers that were grow beautiful......... today i go out there and all the bell peppers are half eaten or they had holes in them for mice :somad :rant
anyone else have this problem..... what is the fastest and easiest way to get rid of them.
i just planted turnip greens, lettuce, beans, carrots, i hope i wasn't to late on plating any of this. this is my first year having a garden so i am learning as i go.
my row of carrots was only about 12 feet long. i just planted. my winter corp today.
when the tempure drops do i have to cove them or should i pull them up? or will they not be ready?
i just pulled up the rest of my carrots today and very pleased how they truned out! next year i have to thin them out. the carrotts that were right next to each other came out small and the one that had nothing near them came out huge!
i had about 3 and a half of these filled when i got done...
i can get the plants to grow very well but i can't get them to produce and veges. the problem i have is i don't know what to use for nutrients. after them growing in the pipe i can take them out and put them in the ground and they grow like crazy. any ideas?
