Seeds for animals are usually raw, rolled/crimped or deshelled. These were deshelled sunflowers, as I didn't want to waste half of my time splitting n spitting! Lol
People used to say livestock seeds were xrayed or something so that you could not plant them. I've used them, often, to plant! Oats...
Hostas seem a bit happier in the shade, no new/further damage. *phew* We'll see if they still need to go further back or if those are permanent spots for them.

But the slugs are really damaging them....Put out poison and caught as many as I could find on the plants and around on the pots.

Now painted a bit and some dirt added, but I watered yesterday, so it'll be a few days before it's dry and I can pop it out to transplant!
