Well. Gonna be a funky tree.
And based on all the unclean dead ends both had, obvious now that these trees kept dying back at the nurseries and regrew. Why sell trees that cannot easily survive here?
The tiny one is fully dead and tossed. Same with that tiny red pot holly. =/
So, cut the end off. As far as I can feel, I need to cut 4 more inches, if not blown all the way through. Idk yet.
Anyway, that dark collar under my thumb, that ALWAYS rusts and snaps. Always.
I'm getting the threads mixed up again....Supposed to be the pawpaw, willow and mulberry thread.
Got 31 pawpaw seeds planted.
Realized that I can use the water bottles as tall pots and greenhouses. The bag planter for grouping them together and to move. Have tons more seeds...😵💫
37 others...
That's a very different tree here. Tulip poplar, tulip tree. Never heard a mag called that.
Technically related, both in the Magnoliaceae family.

The two in the woods.
One got squished?? Wtf? Deer laid against it? Idk
Fail.
2nd, not squished, growing!
37 pawpaw seeds. Number 38 was starting to sprout, so it's inside to stay in the 70s.
So, 12 growing, 5 failed. Sad.
Got the new magnolia planted. Needs wider fence....
Wandered around until I found a spot with the least rocks when I poked the ground.
Porch pawpaw is happiest. Other failed. 3 in ground failed. Haven't checked the ones in the woods yet.
You mean that thin junk metal part of hoses that collars and connects hose to threads?
I have lost so many hoses because of that massive failure point. They beef up the rest of the hose, you think paying 2-3× will mean it lasts, but no! 😑
My recent expensive hose, bought months ago, the rubber...
