Gotta find a better way to refill the barrels...ugh.

Found growth from the frozen magnolia!


Then found some at wallyworld! Some were a little short and/or wonky growing, but all growing better than the frozen ones...wtf.
Anyway, took the best home.

Pawpaw are also highly iffy trees...
Haven't done a count, but more than just this one failed. Will plant the growing one in a failed tree spot soon.

Noticed bright green. Hollys putting out new leaves!

Got the new magnolia planted. Needs wider fence....
Wandered around until I found a spot with the least rocks when I poked the ground.



Porch pawpaw is happiest. Other failed. 3 in ground failed. Haven't checked the ones in the woods yet.

37 pawpaw seeds. Number 38 was starting to sprout, so it's inside to stay in the 70s.



So, 12 growing, 5 failed. Sad.

That's a very different tree here. Tulip poplar, tulip tree. Never heard a mag called that.
Technically related, both in the Magnoliaceae family.
