I think that beyond a bit of nausea of another animal,
dogs have trouble understanding illness. The reaction, especially of a young adult dog, may be fear and of "get away from me!"
Quickly, that may evolve to one of aggression.
I know that we usually associate this 1971 song with Marvin Gaye but Chaka Khan shared a 2002 Grammy for a notable rendition :). And, the others in the group are really worth noting for their long association with Motown music 🎶 ... The Funk Brothers!

My cats used to have a mixed response to bad weather. The female would brave it, without a look back. The tomcat would look up at me as tho he was saying, "Fix It !"
