I've had 1 that is now 6'-8' tall, has 2 pups at thebase and have had it planted for6 or more years. No fruit :( in a way I'm glad though because I did not know they die after fruiting/
I also have 2 dwarf reds that are about 5 years old and same-same, no fruit.
so far so good. I have not noticed any yellowing at the tip of the segment and I'm reluctant to take it out of the medium to check for roots so I will just leave it and see what happens. We have a segment on the original that is almost 4' long.
I would introduce pellets as soon as possible...the mash is messy and creates too much waste, crumbles are the next step up but they can be wasteful, too. Pellets are never wasted! May take timeto get them used to it, that is why I suggest introducing as soon as possible.
I would just smash them. You can wipe them off with a damp cloth or just mush them with your fingers. I actually pulled a leaf off my mustard green and put 2 of them in a butterfly habitat for my children.
She sneaked in through the back door screen and when I discovered she was in I immediately called her out....she went without hesitation and that didn't send any red flags!!!
Yes, bad dog. Good taste, but bad dog.
I planted 4 great northern beans today. I was going to make soup last weekend and fried up a whole pound and a half of bacon. I soaked the beans and when I went to get the bacon off the counter, IT WAS GONE!!!!! Put the drained beans in the fridge and forgot about them. When I cleaned out...
seedless and much darker than the ones pictured above and I'm pretty sure the stems are much darker too...but this is all recall as I have not seen them in almost 2 years.
I've looked everywhere that grapes are sold around here and cannot find them.
I have no idea if they were local to...
I'm sorry that I do not have a pic, but I am hoping my description of this will make everyone scream: IT'S A XXXXXX!!
I was at a brunch at the Mission Inn in Riverside. They had the most delicious 'grapes' I have ever had in my life.

I noticed someone had asked to have a link for this subject but I didn't find a thread, so I thought I wold start one.
I have been interested in this topic for years. I see the vendors at the farmer's market with their castings and they sure do look pretty. I used to buy worms as a treat for...
I just got goosebumps!!!! I've been telling City Boy for over a year...I'm just going to walk up there and start asking questions. Never do. I didn't want to look like a nut bag! When my daughter was pregnant, we would walk all the way up the side of the school and on the way back, I'd...
If I had time, I would get milk goats...when I am able to stay home that will be an option.
You are withing walking distance and I am sure I have passed your house many times taking walks. I am trying to get up enough nerve to talk to the people who live near the corner of York & Monte...
Monster is an understatement. This thing has sections that grow several inches in a day. We have not been blessed with any flowers or fruit yet, but at least have it started in a trellis. The gentleman we got it from suggested we leave it potted, said they are more manageable that way - and...
My daughter brought me a macadamia nut tree back from Hawaii. I have it in a pot with my soil, but still in the medium it was packed in. I had it in full sun but the leaves started to burn so I have it in mostly partial shade....neighbor has an adult tree, so my question is...when does it get...
Irony for my is my yard is all weeds and I can't get the lemon grass to grow, lol. I haven't had grass in years in front and the chickens/ducks make sure I have none in the back. I made a garden in my front yard one year. Best onions I ever grew!!
I bought some seeds since my self sowing haven't come back in a few years. I used to get the bright orange flowers, but this variety has purple in it...I'm guessing it's still edible, since I bought it from a reputable source, but purple?
I'd love to get some ORANGE variety seeds.
