@Marie2020 don't be sad, i really don't mind winter that much, sure being cold isn't great but we do have heat and i know how to deal with being outside in the cold weather and all that. i lived much further north in much worse weather than what we get here and it is pretty mild in comparison.

heatsinks, geothermal heat, heatpumps, insulation, underground houses, etc.

a bit of snow shovelling today. mainly because i didn't want the packed down snow from where Mom had driven on it to get turned into ice so i wanted to get that scraped off the top part of the driveway before it gets colder again.

i'm not complaining because most of this is my own fault, but after getting all the beans shelled out and somewhat sorted i think i have maybe 5lbs of dry beans (a normal season is about 20 - 30lbs).
my own fault being not getting some gardens weeded before they got overgrown and not being able...
if you can find enough square pots that are fairly deep you can put them all in the same area right next to each other and fill them with some potting soil and perhaps a mix of your garden soil and then use your seeds in those pots and remember to water them enough so they don't dry out.
