i've always liked complicated games or ones that involved building like Lincoln Logs, Legos, Erector Sets, and a lot of impromptu use of random tile pieces from the family flooring business, but as a game nothing topped Mouse Trap for me even if the version we had was missing parts so i didn't...
there are many versions of Monopoly now. i've spent many hours playing it as a kid but can't recall the last time i played. maybe about 20yrs ago.
since i liked model railroads and trains there was (perhaps still is - i've not looked into it lately) a game called Railroad Tycoon that got me...
as much as i like to read i've still never made it all the way through Great Expectations, though i've also not tried in 40yrs so perhaps this could be the year? and if i do then i can stop calling it Grape Expectorations...
i don't think so as there are trees growing in places on mountains that get a lot of snow up to the tree line. that's the point where trees can't persist because they can't grow enough (too cold for too long).
if the piled enough snow to last a lot longer it would probably kill the trees but...
Flight of the Navigator, E.T., Short Circuit, Galaxy Quest and My Big Fat Greek Wedding are some movies that i like which i can watch again at times. for seasonal movies i do admit to liking the original Grinch movie, the Rudolph animated one too. for not so seasonal there is Horton Hears a Who.
i've eaten ramen noodles raw too, but only certain kinds, a few i've tried have not been good. like you i find them satisfying when i wanted something crunchy, but that was many years ago. i've not eaten many ramen noodles here at all. we eat pasta a lot more regularly so i never feel like i...
i went out and shovelled because the colder temperatures tonight would make the mess even worse than it already is.
the snow was tan colored because it was wet but also because all of the dirt coming off the farm fields in the wind.
the sun is out and it is warm enough at the moment to melt...
three things to do more thought and research on:
first: plan on rotational grazing taking up a lot more space than you expect or what some other's may suggest. this will also help a great deal with flies and compaction as there are times when the fields are wet that you may not want the cows...
she was a regular album on the turntable when i was a kid and listening and singing along. i can still hear those songs even if i've not heard them in 50 or more years...
sorry to hear and glad to hear it is now in the past. anger is certainly understandable seeing how they didn't even provide basic care for an obvious issue, but the drug stuff i do understand because i'm sure they have to track all medications very carefully as staff might be stealing them to...
they might. :) i've certainly seen them in very tiny versions. the smaller the bulbule the less chance. like if it starts out as very tiny you will get a very tiny plant that first season (it may look no bigger than a thread like when you start onions from seeds), but 2nd season i would say...
a bit of snow last night and today the roads looked too slippery for Mom so she is taking the day off. for which i am glad as the wind is supposed to pick up later and i sure wouldn't want her driving on ice and then getting pushed around by the wind.
if you don't trim off the scapes the first season you plant them you should get some tiny ones to harvest and use or give away. i've had them the size of grains of rice and they'll still grow. :)
one year (some time ago now haha) i had a garden of alfalfa and a large variety of birdsfoot...
i'm not much into pole beans, but years ago i grew "Adam's Family Six Weeks" from @Blue-Jay 's collection of network beans and it was the earliest pole bean.
unfortunately it did not get very big growing for me and the beans are pale/tan color and i think the flowers were white (or maybe pale...
i'm glad you gave it a chance as i wasn't sure how much of it you would be able to hear. :)
it is one of many songs that helps remind me of the good things of some people. the composer who wrote the music and then the players and conductor who came together to play it and then also the...
yeah, i think he'll be fine eventually as long as you don't force him to be trapped into a small space with Nancy. let them figure it out.
even with the best of friends there can be times of strife. last year at about this time i was pulling what little of my hair is left out due to various...
