I'm somewhat of a seed-aholic, too. I do pretty good until I get in a store where there is a seed rack...haha...then I can't help myself. I had seeds that I'd had for years and finally this spring cleaned out the seed bucket... :-( :tools

So many wonderful reasons...I have to agree with all of them. I have a very crude wooden sign on which I painted the word "sanctuary" -- it hangs on the garden post - that pretty much sums it up...wonderful fresh food, exercise, time to meditate and commune with my Maker and the list goes on...

Me too - they are very sturdy plants and getting them a little deeper just helps support them too. Good luck with the eggplant. Our 3 plants were SO prolific last summer, we still have plenty in the freezer and probably won't plant more this year. Love that deep fried eggplant!! :tools

We ordered from Dixondale this year...big, healthy looking plants! When we visited our local grocery store, they had Dixondale onion plants for sale -and some of the farm supply stores in our area have Dixondale Farms onions as well! Can't wait to see how they do!

I agree that spring is very near! On our little farm just this weekend we heard the beautiful sounds of the Cardinal's spring song! We have lots of them year 'round, but the song of spring is so distinct. Love all the Mr. Big Reds and their "ladies with the red lipstick"!:coolsun
