Not plant related, but my Dad used to drink pickle juice at the onset of a cold and it would go away in a day or two! I remeber him doing that all my life and gross as it may sound it really does work!

We have a huge cherokee rose bush, I'll havbe to get pics in the spring. I've pruned it several times and it stands over 6 feet tall and about 10 feet in diameter.

We also let a few grow here. Just don't step on one with bare feet!
