I've wondered since I was a little boy. Who decides? Around here, every spring Blue Bonnets and Indian Paint Brush take over whole meadows and roadsides. The same can be said of Dandelions. Both are lovely flowers. What's the difference? :idunno

I notice someone mentioned "wind chill". From NOAA, the National Weather Service: Even the TV meteorologists around here, and they should know better keep telling us to protect our pipes because "with the wind chill it's going to get below freezing." Makes me angry. :smack

The wild birds have been planting seed from their feeder. They've got a good crop of Sun Flowers going. One's already blooming. Click the image to view the video. I do believe that they planted the corn a bit close though. :cool:

When using a soaker hose on your newly seeded garden do you put the hose on top of the row and move it later as the plants start to sprout or do you put it between the rows?
