THe problem is that the seedlings are very vigorous and grow fast. Then, when they get flowers, they stop growing, the leaves get yellow, and any fruits that set are small and soft, and only get the size of a softball. So, they all start out of the gate really strong then fail.

That's kind of what I was thinking. I've been interested in agronomy for about 4 years, and there are a lot of openings in that field most of the time. Really I'd be happiest managing a grain elevator tho....

Do you think that if one took up a career in agronomy one would have to be on board with GMO?

I keep my riled up ness to myself and feed my family meat and veggies grown at home. Granted, a portion of their feed is from GMO corn but I try to keep that to a minumum and give them as much free range on the farm as possible.
