Interesting our Christmas cactus has a different type of flower but also is in bloom:

They where a Lavender/ grey color, I'm not to worried about their redecorating they where going to get them anyway.

They um.... redid them very well, like for example the first thing they did to the vampire one was remove the fangs :lol:

The potatoes peeled: Finished product (they look lavender/grey in person): and me and my sister's Jack'O Lanterns: and the chickens "redid" our pumpkins, I'll post pictures tomorrow.

First :welcome and we might end up doing that with some of next years crop. We'll just will wait and see what happens next year with them. I don't think I'll have much problem this year only other vines that grew where Watermelons and pumpkins. And the pumpkins only had about 2 or 3 blooms...

I'll be updating as holidays come up and they get painted or if we just get inspired. But I think I'm going to dry out the majority, try saving some seeds (I need to check if any thing they grew with could have cross pollinated) make some bird houses and holiday decorations.

You can but this paint can and will be washed off after Halloween. But to keep them year to year I would recommend that you dry them out first.

So far they have been happy with the couple that have been given to them and the ones they have stolen threw the fence. :lol: And my carrots, which got planted to late and in too much heat so I only got:

I agree they are neat and as for growing them if you have space go for it! Yes :D Also my sister finished painting the 2 gourds, so I'll post pictures later today.

She is painting one as a Jack'O Lantern right now, pictures will be coming when finished, but says a ghost is next. :D
