yes, i see they've posted that for us now - hard freeze for tonight, and chance of frost for tomorrow night too. we just skirted frost here last night.

once in a while when i get up and if Mom is awake but laying in bed i'll go and jump on her bed and bounce up and down. and then give her a kiss and tell her i love her. she'll fake scream. it's funny. :)

one tornado did do some damage a few miles to the east of us only a few minutes after it went by us. it's no fun when it happens.

in checking out the small tornado damage and possible path it may have been slightly to the north of us and skirted us or may have even been over us but not formed enough. i'm certainly not an expert in reading radar tornado signatures and how they form... to us it was a little hail, some rain...

Sunday night forecast puts us below freezing chance again. not over yet, but starting to get there...

i've sent out a few things in bubble pack and they've done ok as far as i know. today though i did mail a bunch of beans in a box. :)

@digitS' and me (or at least that is what i was writing about :) ) are speaking of overwintering them which is different from planting and letting seeds fall in the fall and then having those seeds sprout in the next spring...

there was likely a small tornado not too far from us but i don't think anyone was seriously hurt. damage evaluation on-going. a lot of action from the storms of last night.

whew! looks like we get a break, no rains for a bit so things can soak in. the field across the road is flooded so that's a good indicator of how saturated the area is for us... i'm sure the south field is also somewhat flooded and the River Nile (a long drainage channel along the edge) is...

same here the two times i've grown them. winter wheat and winter rye (the grains not the grasses) do survive our winters with no problems.

she's not too hard to get along with and makes friends easily.
