Yeah, I agree that russets would probably be good. We use them for fries all the time and they turn out good (alot better than other potatoes we have tried).

Aren't those deadly nightshades gorgeous?? :P I found some in our yard last year. Pretty purple and yellow flowers that get bright red berries. Don't want to eat 'em though.

Gardening and chickens came at the same time for us. Chickens did better the first year than the garden. Deer got to the plants.
