That's a really good way to look at it... it always feels like such a failure when a variety does poorly (or doesn't make it), but it really is logistically impossible that every variety will always sprout and grow perfectly.

Ha, true! It's good to know you haven't had much trouble besides that one plot that got mosaic virus. I think I'll probably ignore crop rotation til I start seeing problems (and knock on wood, no problems for a long time!).
