Got some kiwi vines at the herb fair...

I am thinking to put the 3 vines along the smaller side of the fence, with the one that I think is the male, in the middle. then the females would each have a corner. I think it will work. Sounds like they are easy to propagate, too? Our fence is wood post with chainlink. Almost like a...

Got some kiwi vines at the herb fair...

Has anyone grown this before? They are the shiny green leaves, not the pink, white, and green. Apparently, they are hardy here in OK, and the guy said they are the fuzzy brown ones. He'd never heard of the small smooth ones. I am debating where to put them. I had planned to put them on...

Invasive flower / vine with yellow flower ..Photo's added update

It looks like a squash/melon vine of some kind. If someone threw out a cantaloupe or something like that, it would grow like crazy in the compost. I would try it in a container and see what happens. Shelly

    Moon Gardens, anyone?

Keep them watered well, at first. Or, better yet, mulch! They should do well with your Azaleas. I love my Bleeding Hearts. Have you tried ferns there? There are some really pretty ones. I have a hardy asparagus type fern that looks great. Very fairy-like. ;) Have you tried Hostas there...

Does anyone know (this might be another stupid question! LOL!) but we like the fingerling potatoes (roasted in olive oil with garlic and rosemary :drool ) so would we just harvest the regular potatoes early, or are they a different breed? Should I just pick up some fingerlings and let them...

    Veggies that do well together

Some plants repel insects or diseases that certain other plants are prone to. While other plants actually secrete hormones into the ground that are growth-inhibitive to others. It is really fascinating to read about. To look it up online, just Google "Companion Planting". You'll find a...

Are you direct sowing the Nicotiana or are you starting it in pots? I've had the best luck with direct sowing, so I am curious how you are doing it. Maybe I am doing something wrong? I am getting my seeds any day now, and need to know what I am doing! LOL! Maybe I should take half and...

I have been looking for some Cestrum Nocturnum. I traded for some once, but it ended up being the Epiphyllum Oxypetalum. I guess that must be a common mistake? The Queen of the Night, I am not sure about...I have heard the Epi called that before. I'll have to check out the link! Also, would...
