Hi! I tried my hand at canning for the first time this year too. I made blueberry jam. It made a horrible mess and it seemed like everything went wrong, but it still ended up working! So go for it! It was a lot of fun and I'm definitely going to try more. And my jam is good :D
You can't really tell from the pictures, but mine are actually a pale pink. I was so amazed too! When I learned they could bloom I was so surprised, I couldn't imagine flowers sticking out of this thing. But they fit!

thanks and thanks! I can't take any credit though, I've no idea what was different this year than any other! Wish I did :D Good luck with yours!
And lesa, I looked up asparagus fern, wild! What a cool plant!! That must have been neat having it bloom too!

We have lots of pokeweed too. I've wanted to try it but I'd be nervous. It sure would be nice to actually do something with it though! At least the birds like it :D
That is so neat- you've inspired me to try growing roses from seed again. I tried when I was a kid with no success, but those baby rose plants are so sweet, and what a fun surprise seeing what they turn out as!
Hello everyone! I'm new here, so I thought I'd tell about my soon-to-be garden. At the moment it's nothing but grass, however I've finally got permission from my dad to put in a vegetable garden! Woohoo!
We used to have a patch at a community garden, but that went defunct so I've been...
