    Thanks y'all - it's good to be missed! Carol, no it was 16 degrees! I remember growing up that the winters were very cold. We haven't had 16 degrees in years. Mary, I had squash bugs for the first time last spring - I hope the cold killed them!

    Wow! How will you kill them - or will you? Either way, be careful!! It's been terrible here as well with wasps. I've knocked down at least seven this summer in my potting shed and two in the chicken coop.

    When they get big like that you can hardly cut through them with a knife. I'll chop them with a hand axe and toss them in the compost.

    Pepper Sauce?

    Anyone ever make their own pepper sauce? I have a bunch of cayenne and other peppers that I need to do something with. Any recipes out there or other suggestions on what to do with them? I've pickled and pickled and pickled!!!
