Thanks to all who replied. Early spring it is. That particular border is so overgrown with weeds and stuff, I'll clear it out then take care of the dead stuff while waiting for spring.
ETA: I am not sure of the type. But it does bloom blue.
We have a hydrangea that we want to move to a better location.
It is planted against the brick of the front porch and is heavily overgrown with weeds and volunteers.
My question is: When should we transplant this hydrangea? Now? Or wait til spring or fall?
You folks are inspiring me. I have on hand:
Rototiller
D handle shovel
long handle shovel
clippers
garden fork
hoe
steel rake
pick
leaf rake
Will buy a spade.
Have borders to clean out and redo and want to do two 12x4 raised beds.
I gave watermelon to the chickens during the hot spells. Got culls from a guy down the road from us for free. I refridgerated them and gave to the the birds when I got home from work. The hottest time of the day.
They would eat down until the rind was paper thin. Fun to watch.
Hello, new here, coming from BYC.
We have a 2.5 acre piece of land but has some peculiar features. The yard area is a little under one acre, the remainder is wooded with pines.
The existing borders need to be reworked. Don't good space for a large veg garden but would like to do raised beds...
