    I would like a more sandy soil. I have clay. I have been adding sand and compost to it. We have only owned our property for a couple years, and you can already see a huge difference in soil quality.

    I will have to get a pic on here when it comes back up. I just mowed it down a couple days ago. But I see its already forming new leaves. I was going with the theory if I keep it cut short to the ground it would hopefully die off. But thats not working. I kill one spot 2 more pop up.

    I have this weed growing everywhere. I'm not sure what it is. It has a really broad leaf to it. Someone once told me it looks like horseradish plant. But I dont know. I've pulled it out, dug it out, tried round up on it. But yet it keeps coming back stronger each time.

    Rhubarb Question

    Believe it or not but my rhubarb plant has been past down through the generations. My great grandfather gave a root to my grandfather, who gave a root to my father, who has since given me a root. Still growing strong. I hope to give some to my son.

    Poison ivy???

    My wife is jealous of me. I don't react to poision ivy. When we first bought our home, there was poison ivy in back. She broke out so bad it was not funny, me not a mark, itch, red spot...nothing.

    Not sure if its a flower or a shrub

    My mother said I could transplant some of her lilacs to my house. How do I do it? I'm assuming just dig around some of the small new growth shoots and put it in a bucket and bring it home. Think they will make a good sound break from the yard and the busy street?

    I've read that too. But the tree I bought had a label on it that said it self pollinates. I wish I could remember the type of cherry.

    I planted a cherry tree last fall. I was worried about because it was really nothing more than a stick. But I checked it and it has buds starting. Maybe I wont lose it after all.

    Thanks Pat I was only growing pumpkins for Jack o lanterns and treats for the girls in the winter. So I guess if I dont grow them this year the only ones that will suffer will be the chicks.
