    To be honest I never questioned the oil in the peppers. The gal I got the recipe from said to put it in so I always have. You could try it without the oil. I see no problem. I put a few cloves of garlic in my pickled eggs also. Makes them might tasty. John

    I noticed that at first. I looked them up on the net and they said they are a round bottom bottom variety also have some Hungarian hot waxed growing in the garden. You can tell the difference when looking at the two different plants. I can hot Hungarian wax for the winter. No heat process...

    I bought a 6 pack of Santa Fe Grande peppers and have 5 of the those and a plant I have no idea what pepper it is. Any ideas?

    Maple trees

    Just like you took a pair of shears and cut them off. They are falling from the top of the trees. I have sat out there and watched them fall. Can't seem to catch what ever is doing it. It sometimes makes me think I am loosing what is left of my mind. John

    Me to. I have always had some kind of a garden over the last 40+ years but chickens was something I always wanted to do but the city said no. Moved to the country to retire and nobody says no to anything I want to do! Same user name just a different avatar. John

    Over the past couple weeks I have been finding a lot of branch ends laying under my trees. Looks like something is chewing off the last foot of the new branches with the new leaves attached. Might this be squirrels or some kind of bug? The leaves and branches are not chewed up just bitten off...
