Over the past couple weeks I have been finding a lot of branch ends laying under my trees. Looks like something is chewing off the last foot of the new branches with the new leaves attached. Might this be squirrels or some kind of bug? The leaves and branches are not chewed up just bitten off. Any ideas? John

Sounds like Locusts to me. They did a good number on my Ash trees this year too.

Cleanly bitten, like iwth a knife? That's odd. Are they from branches within browsing reach of deer, by any chance?

"Tree rabbits"? LOL

Just like you took a pair of shears and cut them off. They are falling from the top of the trees. I have sat out there and watched them fall. Can't seem to catch what ever is doing it. It sometimes makes me think I am loosing what is left of my mind. John
