Lol, I guess I fall somewhere in the 80% flower growers.
I am thinking I planted them too deep. I will get more seeds and try again and if I fail this time i'll just buy the plants already grown:hide
I'll try Chickie'sMomaInNH's way and lightly sprinkle dirt on them. I need to look at that...
I planted 5 types of herbs from seeds and not one came up(rosemary, basil, dill, and some others I can't remember right now). Its been 3 weeks now. I can grow everything else just great, but not herbs, lol.
Thanks for the advice!
We've been busy framing the greenhouse and planting so I have not had much time to get on the computer. I will upload some photos later, I promise!
I have to keep reminding my dad we're not building a bomb shelter, lol.
I'm in south GA, forgot to put that in my location :D My username is for my favorite palm tree, sorry bout the mix up :)
Haven't been on for a while because of internet issues but I have good news. We got the poles set in concrete(Dad likes to overbuild everything  ) so we are ready for...
Well for Mothers Day I am helping build a greenhouse for my mom. We made a deal to clean up a friend's yard in exchange for their neglected greenhouse. We got the greenhouse down in 3 days last week with another 2 days just to clean the yard.
There are about 25 panels, more or less 4 ft wide...
It does not have a smell, not that I can notice. I think I will keep it in the pot for a while, see if it starts growing better so I can get a better picture. I've been searching the yard for similar plants but haven't found more so far.
lol, canesisters that's almost exactly what my mom told me.
I love mimosa trees too! My small one had new growth as soon as the frost was over but my really big one is just now putting out some green leaves. Had me worried for a while. Every time my big tree gives seeds, my chickens eat them before I can grow any, and what the chickens do not get...
Those magnolia cones that marshallsmyth mentioned, you may want to pick them up before mowing the grass. They hurt when they fly :P My dad also broke a window when one shot out of the lawn mower.
If you like the looks of it, creeping jenny may do good there if it's not really dry. I hear it grows well in clay. I have mine in and on the side of my pond.
My turtles have awaken, happily sunbathing even on the overcast days:
This one really loves hanging out on his dock :)
I seen one snake but it was so small and moved really fast so I don't know what kind it was. Also seen a couple lizards hanging out in bushes around my garden.
I would wait a while before trimming them. I've had new leaves die on my fig tree after a surprise freeze. If the branches are still flexible, new leaves should grow back:)
Thank you bluejay77 for the info!, I appreciate everyones input, I am learning so much about beans(and other plants from this site) :D. I usually do have a good number of bees in my gardens, mainly because of the flowers I plant for them, but I have seen them go to the vegetable plants as well...
For some reason the one that dies back gets frost in the winter and comes back in the spring. I thought that was odd because everything I have read says kumquats are more cold hardy than other citrus, and the other one I have keeps its leaves all winter. It had fruit on it when it was bought...
Thank you marshallsmyth! and Carol Dee! I've been busy planting or I would have thanked you earlier for identifying them. I planted them outside and they attracted some bees:)
I wanted to share some Spring with everyone:D Its funny that at my old house I could not keep snapdragons alive but in this yard they do a lot better.
Went back to Lowes to get some more soil and came back with a few more flowers. I'm hooked on planting this year more than last. Now I need to...
