Here is 3 of 6 of my grow out beans: Indian, Appaloosa, and Red Marble. I forgot to take pictures of Bird Egg #2 and Deb's Creek. The last pictures are of what came out of the Frauenbohne seed that I planted. Very nice, but not true to type... The last two pictures may just be unripe as they...

2021 Little Easy Bean Network - Bean Lovers Come Discover Something New !

So glad i picked my beans that were dry last week as we have been inundated with rain the last 3 days. We were threatened with a freeze so the plants that were not quite dry were stripped of half their beans and put in the garage to finish drying rather than be killed by the freeze. It then...

Pale Grey Lavender. Also a pole bean, but didn't exceed my 6 ft post. Set rather quickly and then was done for the season in early September. Beautiful bean. The three seed pods i am holding are 2 Wesley Railroad Spike and a dry Pale Grey Lavender.

2019 Little Easy Bean Network - Come And Reawaken The Thrill Of Discovery

Wesley Railroad Spike. These were quite a different bean than what i have grown before. This is a pole bean and had no problem climbing up the fence and over to the 10 ft. sunflowers i had close by. The pods are huge and fat! When dry the seeds look shrunken in. Pretty good producer. Don't think...

2016 Little Easy Bean Network - Gardeners Keeping Heirloom Beans From Extinction

LOL. Yes, I knew that before. I usually would have poured them out of the bag onto a cookie sheet and put it on top of the fridge to dry, but when i set it down, he set his papers on it and it was out of sight, out of mind. All the others got spread out to dry. i had cookie sheets and paper...

2016 Little Easy Bean Network - Gardeners Keeping Heirloom Beans From Extinction

I really enjoyed participating this year. I grew Passage to India and Woodruff. Both these beans did really well. I planted 6 seeds for each and all 12 came up! Passage to India is a bush bean rather than a pole. I tried a raw bean and it was fairly tender, so it could be a good snap bean. I...

Yes, i can't wait to plant them again. the advise you gave me was to plant them on a single pole about 3 feet apart. I used to grow them along a fence and just bumped one up against the next one.

2015 Little Easy Bean Network - Old Beans Should Never Die !

Hey is this Russ? You also gave me some advise on planting pole beans so they would be less likely to cross. I tried it last year and it worked out great for growing. well see if any crossed next year. I must say, my favorite is the Graines de Café. they are so pretty and really did well for me...
