    Egg Plants

Okay I think I will just start out with a couple seeds and see if anything grows from them. I will only need one plant then. I'm worried it will turn mushy if I freeze it.

Transplanting Wild black raspberries and blackberries

I dug up the whole plant and they made it just fine. If yours is flowering right now I would wait until it's done flowering and setting fruit to move it. That way your not stressing it more by trying to set fruit after it's been moved.

    Saving Butternut Squash

Thanks so much for your help Pat. Like I said I just tried this squash for the first time. So I only have one recipe for it and that calls for it to be cubed. Now if I could find an easy way to peel the things I'd be doing ok. I can't believe how hard it was to peel. Can you cut in half...

    Saving Butternut Squash

Ok, thanks for your help. Should I roast cut in halfs or cut up in small chunks? Just looking for the easiest way to get it done. Also, how long should I roast it for? 350 degrees?

    Saving Butternut Squash

Does anyone know how to go about freezing the squash? Should I peel then cut up small and boil it first ( guess I should say blanch it first)? I just tried this squash for the first time and was thinking of planting a few in the garden this year.

    Pear tree problem.

Sorry Bills, wish I could help you out. However, I don't know what the problem might be either. I just walked out and looked at my pear tree and it's looking pretty good this year. Lots of pears on it. Of course it would probably be happier if I trimmed the apple tree back out of it this fall...

Thank You, so much for your help everyone. I'd hate to think I'm back there busting my behind for nothing. I'm trying to clear the weeds so I'll have more berry's next year. I was thinking about putting the straw from the chicken coop out there after I get it cleaned up. Is that a good idea or...

    Blackberry plants?

I'm sure that's it! Do they grow low to the ground and then fall over and lay down when bigger? There's not very many berry's on these one's. But I did pick one that was bigger than a raspberry and black and had brown, like hairy things growing from in between the little pieces. Does that sound...
