Is there a problem w/ planting peppers near tomatoes? Maybe I'm not aware of it...?
The beds they're in are 4'x8', and 3' apart.

I guess I just heard that old wives tale about planting them next to each other isn't so good, because they are so closely related. But after googling my remark, it seems people don't have any problems with it. Sorry about that, but it did make me look it up and learn something. Never too old to learn something new

Yep, this is GO time for you Texas folks right now...

I lived in Killeen for a couple years and my co-workers would always get on my case when I didn't wear a coat on a 50 degree day down there. I don't remember it ever getting much below 35!

Thought I'd post a link to what we did today .... I'm calling it our "redneck tomato bed", complete with a wood grid trellis (i hope it works!), and our watering system idea...

That is a really neat setup, I think the watering system will work great. It will save time by not having to water each plant individually.
