What a bummer! The rings like to rust, but I haven't seen the Lids rust. How do you store?

Yes that's true now that you mention it. It is mostly the rings. I just store canned goods in a kitchen cupboard. However, we have a lot of humidity here. Cardboard gets soft in the cupboards too!
