The "Boston Tea Party"

The British East India Company reported ..

. 9,659 English pounds in damages from the incident.
I strongly suspect my ancestors were flinging tea into the harbor, seeing as they had arrived on the Mayflower in Plymouth and settled in the area. I have a revolutionary war record of one of them, but none admitted to participating in the "tea party" for obvious reasons. Anyway I raise my mug of tea to these rebels this morning, even though I'm unsure it was a good move historically. If we were still a colony of England, maybe we'd all have free health care now, but it's water under the bridge, tea in the harbor.
