For some of us old enough to remember, I wish my world had heeded more of the wisdom of Rachel Carson.

For further reading and for the scientific documentation of the research please read -
OUR STOLEN FUTURE:

I read this book 14 years ago. Trying to alert people to its importance was like whistling in the wind. Look how much time has been wasted and the big boys are still saying. nothing is wrong, science is a bunch of hooey so what if frogs, fish and such are gender confusedwe are at the top of the food chain and nothing can hurt us.ususus. A..badee ... abadeethats all folks. !@#$%^&(&^%$#@!

Love Rachel Carson.

She lived on the same island that I live on now. All of her books and works are at the library here.

Ladyhawke,

Thank you for reminding us! We live in a world where we are constantly being bombarded with information & we end up being battered by it.

I can remember so well Rachel Carson's message to my generation -- it altered the way I looked at the world (unfortunately others ignored it's warnings)!

I would like to bring these articles to your attention as they are very relavent to NOW & very shocking:

Rachel Carson was so far ahead of her time it's almost scary.

What's scarier, is that her warnings were not heeded.

She was truly a visionary.
