Wow are they getting good. I just got a call I missed a payment on my home depot credit card. Not unusual for me, I put mail in pile then forget about it. She said if I made a payment over the phone today I willn't have late fee. I was pulling my checkbook out to give her routing and account number when it dawned on me,she could be anyone. I told her I was planing on going to home depot today and would make payment then hung up. Then I called home depot credit dept my account is paid up. Be carefull
I get similar calls all the time. Makes me so mad. They pull that with My MIL and she would believe them and get scammed AGAIN! Se is under strict orders from us not to answer ANY phone number that does not come up with the name of someone programmed into her phone! Yet I have been there when it rings and she will answer without looking! 
Same with her mail, thank goodness she has been leaving most of it for me to look at before she pays. So many magazines telling her thanks for your subscription here is what you owe. She claims she never ordered any. I write STOP on them and return unpaid..
